We’re looking to recruit a brand new claims technician role on behalf of a Global Insurance company with offices in Glasgow and want people with a real passion for customer service who wish to continue their career in home insurance claims.

Position: Claims Technician (Domestic Property Claims Handler)
Location: Glasgow with opportunity for hybrid working (2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £25,000 pa
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS)
Contract: Permanent

The job of a Claims Technician will involve the following main duties:
- Pro-actively manage a caseload of domestic property claims whilst providing support to field surveyors, customers and clients.
- Support customers at the beginning of the claims process; record new claim information on the system, contact customers to verify information and offer reassurance
- Dealing with all cost controls and payments
- Claim, information and supplier project management
To be successful, your CV should demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience of handling domestic property claims from instruction to conclusion in a claims handler or claims technician role (essential)
- Exceptional Customer service skills
- A positive and pro-active attitude to exceeding client and customer expectations
- Self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work under your own initiative
- Ideally have or be progressing with Cert CII and Cert CILA qualifications
- A calm, empathetic approach
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
- Strong written communication skills
- Great organisational skills
- IT Literacy
