Position: Customer Care Specialist (Mortgage Collections Advisor / Arrears)
Location: Cardiff City Centre with opportunity to work on a Hybrid basis
Salary: £25,300 pa plus annual bonus of up to 12.5%
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS!)

As a Customer Care Consultant / Collections Advisor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Help customers negotiate and apply solutions to key critical events during the lifetime of their mortgage.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the business for customers in arrears and who have recognised vulnerabilities
- Apply remedies defined within the arrears, forbearance and litigation policies, ensuring that shortfalls and mortgage arrears are pursued in accordance with regulation, specifically MCOB and the Vulnerable Customers Policy.
- Administer each account up to where arrears have been discharged and beyond
- Working sensitively with the personal representatives of deceased mortgage customers to ensure that the loans of the deceased are repaid in accordance with the period of grace defined within the mortgage product term
- Ensuring that at all times customers are treated fairly and responsibly, providing evidence to support the decision-making process at every stage of your interaction with the customer
