We are working with a busy manufacturing organisation that is looking for a personable and passionate HR Assistant to join them, to help deliver a great ‘People’ service across their organisation!
Role: HR/ Payroll Assistant (no Payroll experience necessary!)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Abertillery (on-site, with some flexibility)
Salary: £22-27K, dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (flexible start and finish times)
Start date: ASAP
As the HR Assistant, you will be joining a team that has a great sense of humour, who will support you to continuously learn, develop and accelerate your HR career.
You will be responsible for:
- Being the first point of contact or HR-related queries across the organisation
- Updating and managing employee information on the HRIS
- Supporting recruitment campaigns through advertising roles on job boards and social media channels, coordinating interviews, drafting offer letters and contracts
- Administering all employee contract changes, absences and leave
- Preparing payroll on weekly and monthly basis; exporting reports from the Time and Attendance system, making any amendments and sending to outsourced Payroll company
- Supporting the implementation of HR projects, such as engagement initiatives and HR System implementation
What we are looking for:
- CIPD qualification ideally, or a couple of years’ experience within HR administration position
- A self-starter; the drive and initiative to get involved, learn and develop your skills and experience
- Creative mindset to think outside the box, to come up with better ways of working / to solve issues
- Great interpersonal skills; ability to build great working relationships quickly
