We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy, supportive HR team within a financial services organisation in Cardiff on a 4-month contract.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone confident handling a range of Employee Relations (ER) cases. You’ll also play a key role supporting end-of-year review processes and keeping day-to-day HR operations running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven HR experience with strong exposure to ER and complex case management
- Excellent understanding of current UK employment law
- CIPD qualified (or nearing completion)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Sound judgment, discretion, and emotional resilience
- Highly organised and confident working in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert ER advice on disciplinary, grievance, and absence management
- Manage formal investigations and hearings
- Support the delivery of line manager training on performance management
- Assist the HR Advisor team with documentation, scheduling, and note-taking
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records
- Respond to employee and manager queries on policies and best practice
- Advise managers on policy compliance and employment law
- Contribute to ER reports and trend analysis
