Working pattern: Hybrid – four days on site and one day working from home
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced HR Team Leader to join our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing organisation based in Swansea.
This is a newly created opportunity within a business that has almost doubled in headcount and is continuing to grow.
Reporting to the Head of People, you will lead and support the operational HR team, providing clear direction and overseeing day-to-day HR delivery across the factory.
You will play an important role in supporting the next stage of the business's growth, ensuring the HR function continues to develop and provide effective support to managers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the HR team, helping to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
- Oversee day-to-day generalist HR activity, including employee relations and absence management.
- Drive recruitment activity to support the continued expansion of the business.
- Develop practical HR processes and identify opportunities to improve existing ways of working.
- Support wider people initiatives, which may include job evaluation.
- Work closely with the Head of People to translate business priorities into practical action.
- Provide guidance and support to managers across the factory, ensuring consistent HR practices.
About You
- Experienced HR professional with previous experience leading or supervising a team.
- Strong generalist HR background, with a good understanding of employee relations and absence management.
- Confident managing competing priorities and supporting a busy operational team.
- Experience overseeing recruitment activity and improving HR processes.
- Practical and solutions-focused, with the ability to turn business needs into effective HR solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting an organisation through a period of growth.
- Manufacturing experience would be beneficial, as would experience working within an SME or growing business.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a hands-on and approachable HR professional who enjoys leading a team while remaining involved in the day-to-day delivery of HR. You will be organised, proactive and confident providing direction, improving processes and supporting managers in a busy manufacturing environment.
This is a great opportunity to join a growing business in a newly created role, where you can make a real contribution to the development of the HR function and help shape how HR supports the organisation as it continues to expand.
Apply today if you have the relevant experience and are looking for your next HR leadership opportunity.
