Logistics Administrator
Caerphilly (fully office based)
£13.85 per hour
Temporary – 3 months initially
Mon-Thurs 7am-3.30pm, Fri 7am-12.30pm
We're recruiting for a Logistics Administrator to join a busy and well-established business on an initial 3-month temporary contract.
This is a varied administration role supporting the Logistics team, where you'll coordinate UK and European shipments, liaise with transport providers and customers, process shipping documentation and help ensure goods are delivered efficiently.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience working within a busy office administration environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your workload.
- Confidence working independently and using your own initiative.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with customers and suppliers.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a logistics environment.
- Experience using Sage would be advantageous but isn't essential, as full training will be provided.
- Previous logistics or shipping administration experience would also be advantageous but isn't essential.
The role
You'll be responsible for:
- Requesting daily transport quotations from freight forwarders and transport portals.
- Booking and coordinating UK and European shipments.
- Processing export and import documentation for HMRC compliance.
- Preparing and collating shipping documentation.
- Updating Excel spreadsheets to monitor daily shipping activity.
- Recording quotation information for cost analysis.
- Producing invoices for goods being shipped.
- Liaising with customers and transport providers to coordinate deliveries.
- Providing general administrative support, including filing and maintaining documentation.
