Office Manager
Cardiff (Fully office based)

9-month fixed-term contract

Salary – £40,000 + Excellent Benefits!
Monday to Friday – 9:00am–5:00pm

 

 

If you’re an experienced Workplace, Facilities or Health & Safety professional who enjoys taking ownership and keeping an office running seamlessly, this is a great opportunity to step into a pivotal role on a 9-month contract.

This is a hands-on position responsible for the day-to-day management of the workplace, Health & Safety compliance, and facilities operations. You’ll also lead office improvement projects and line manage an Office Co-ordinator.

You’ll bring…

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety or facilities-focused role within an office environment
  • Confidence line managing, coaching, and supporting team members
  • Strong understanding of compliance, risk assessments, and best practice
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • A calm, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience managing complex facilities or workplace issues

 

What You’ll Be Doing (and the impact you’ll make)

  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant working environment
  • Owning Health & Safety processes, including risk assessments, actions, training, fire marshal and first aider requirements
  • Managing facilities, utilities, and office service contracts, ensuring value for money and alignment with environmental goals
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running and maintenance of the office
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all workplace and facilities-related queries
  • Partnering with IT to ensure the office supports business needs
  • Supporting office events, meetings, and staff socials
  • Ensuring a comfortable and inclusive working environment, including DSE assessments and specialist equipment
  • Leading office refurbishment and improvement projects from planning through to delivery
  • Managing lease compliance and future workspace requirements
  • Providing regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Line managing, coaching, and supporting the Office Co-ordinator
