People Advisor – 6 Month FTC
Hybrid role (Treforest / Pontypridd)
Salary - £29,588per annum + excellent benefits
Fixed Term Contract – 6 months
Full Time – 37 hours per week
Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week on campus (Pontypridd)
If you’re an experienced HR generalist who enjoys coaching managers, building strong
stakeholder relationships and making a real impact across the employee journey, this is a
fantastic interim opportunity to join a busy, enthusiastic and solutions-focused People & OD
team.
You’ll be supporting a diverse academic and professional services workforce, working
collaboratively with Faculties and Departments to deliver expert, practical and empathetic HR
guidance.
About You
• Proven experience providing generalist HR advice across the full employee lifecycle
• Strong working knowledge of employee relations, including early resolution and formal
processes
• Confident coaching and advising managers on people matters
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to build strong, credible stakeholder relationships
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Professional, solutions-focused and detail-oriented
• Passionate about promoting wellbeing, inclusivity and a positive workplace culture
• Comfortable supporting change management activity
What You’ll Be Doing (and the impact you’ll make)
• Providing expert People advice and guidance across the full employee journey
• Coaching managers on early resolution and formal ER concerns, ensuring fair and
consistent practice
• Supporting a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture
• Building strong internal relationships across Faculties and Professional Services
• Advising on policies, procedures and best practice
• Contributing to wellbeing, diversity and belonging initiatives
• Supporting organisational change and continuous improvement activity
Working collaboratively within a proactive and supportive People & OD team
