People & Culture Officer (Maternity Cover)

£34,349 per annum
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours of work - 35 hours per week (flexible on start and finish times between 7:30am-6pm)
Holiday allowance: 25 days plus bank holidays plus 4 complimentary days

What we’re looking for
- CIPD Level 3 or above (or equivalent HR qualification).
- Experience in a generalist HR role with a strong focus on employee relations casework.
- Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence cases.
- Experience across recruitment, onboarding and HR administration processes.
- Good understanding of employment law, GDPR and HR best practice.
- Experience using HR systems and producing reports or management information.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing practical, high-quality HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
- Managing and supporting employee relations casework including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management.
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding activity, ensuring a positive candidate and employee experience.
- Supporting learning and development activity, including coordination and delivery of training programmes.
- Advising managers on performance management, wellbeing and policy implementation.
- Supporting HR projects and people-focused initiatives across the organisation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting HR administration processes.
- Using HR systems and data to produce reports and management information.
- Supporting continuous improvement within People & Culture processes and service delivery.
- Promoting and embedding organisational values across all HR activity.
