This is a fab opportunity for anyone who has previously worked as a Fraud Prevention Officer or within a Financial Crime role and is looking to develop their career into a shift management role.

Position: Senior Fraud Prevention Officer
Location: Cardiff
Salary: up to £28,000 pa
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm + Saturdays 9am to 6pm & Sundays 9am to 5pm on a rota basis (you will work every other weekend, with days off in the week)

As a Senior Fraud Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide shift management cover, acting as a point of reference for complex referrals, allocation of tasks and dealing with escalation calls.
- Provide support and guidance to the fraud prevention team and ensure that the team has direction on a daily basis.
- Undertake regular quality checks to ensure that that policies and processes are being adhered to and the correct outcomes reached.
- Working closely with the wider business, you will execute fraud prevention strategies in line with company policy
- You will investigate and report cases of suspected or confirmed fraud
- You will take action to mitigate any risk identified, in accordance with the company’s fraud prevention strategy
- Submit reports of suspected and confirmed fraud cases to relevant external parties, including but not limited to, law enforcement, CIFAS and SIRA.
- You will investigate allegations of fraud raised post application, take timely action to protect any victims of fraud identified.

- Background in a highly regulated financial services environment (ESSENTIAL)
- Experienced within a Fraud Prevention Officer or Financial Crime role as an experienced fraud investigator
- Working knowledge of CIFAS and/or SIRA and awareness of current fraud trends
- Sound technical knowledge of fraud prevention, tools and strategies.
- Works well with others in the team and acts as a role model, setting high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self-development.
